Make It Crazy Beautiful: A Journey of Strength, Healing and Hope

Welcome to my very first post!  I am so excited you are here.  I am hoping that some of you reading this, know me personally.  Of course, I hope that some of you visiting might not, and if that is the case, don't worry.  I plan on sharing as if you don't.  I have committed to being open and honest.

Make It Crazy Beautiful has been a long time coming.  I first started planning it back in 2019.  At the time, I had been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and had gone through a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation.  I was slowly healing and began sharing my story with people that were close to me, trying to give strength and inspiration to others facing similar challenges.  I felt I could do more and really make a difference by sharing my struggles openly with more people.  But as it sometimes does, life had other plans - and know, I am not complaining!  A baby boy came into our lives and the idea was put on hold.  This story will be shared in due time, it was a part of my life has helped make me exactly who I am today.

Let's fast forward to 2025.  In January of this year, I ended a 22+ year career in education while learning to focus on what matters most - me and my family.  It took a while, but realized that no job was worth my health or the health of my family and what I believe family means.  It was not an easy decision or one that I took lightly but life and the universe had a different plan for me and I finally realized it. I'll share that story too.

I know I’m not the first to say that life can be unpredictable and sometimes even brutally difficult.  It is not always easy to feel like you have control over your health, mind, or future.  Life has a way of testing us in ways we never expect. Whether you’re facing the challenge of a diagnosis, or the quiet, but ever-present battle with mental health issues like depression or anxiety, or just struggling with the weight of life’s day-to-day issues, healing can feel like an impossible road. For some of us, it can feel like we’re constantly fighting a battle that no one else can see. Or at least that is the way I felt.

But here’s the thing: healing is possible. It might not look like what we imagine, and it might not always feel easy. Healing can be in the quiet moments of peace. Or in the laughter through tears. Or in the chaos of life itself.  But I do know it is in the strength we discover we have - when we least expect it.

Make It Crazy Beautiful is about finding the beauty that exists in it all. It’s about honoring the mess and embracing the journey — every single step of it. Healing isn’t a straight path. It’s a winding road with hills and valleys, and some days it might feel impossible to travel down. But, we have to take it one step at a time - sometimes even one breath at a time.  I believe there is something beautiful in the struggle — something profound in the way we pick ourselves up, time and time again.

This is a space where beauty is not just found in those perfect moments or picturesque settings.  It’s also found in the raw, real, and often challenging parts of life.  I will share some of my challenges with you.  Here, we can celebrate the courage of healing, the strength of embracing mental health struggles, and the magic that lies in living life authentically.

We’ll talk about the things that matter most — the family and friends, the challenges, the setbacks, and the victories. We’ll discuss how to care for both your body and your mind, how to heal in ways that are meaningful, and how to find light in the darkest of times.  I will share my journey as a mom and how that is one of the most beautiful things, but also one of the hardest things.

As I continue to grow Make It Crazy Beautiful, my goal is to make it a place of healing and inspiration for anyone who needs it. Whether you're recovering from something challenging, looking for a way to reconnect with yourself, or simply want to feel grounded in the hustle of life — Make It Crazy Beautiful is here to offer you that space.  I want you to know that you are seen, you are valued, and you are worthy of healing and peace.  I want to create a community where we can discuss freely things that so many people keep in.

Sharing my own journey will hopefully bring something meaningful into the world and will help others feel grounded, connected, and inspired. Life can be crazy, but when you add beauty, intention, and soul to it, it becomes something truly amazing.

Please drop in a comment and let me know your thoughts, questions or just to say hello!  I want to start building a community and hearing from you will help do that.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we can make it crazy beautiful.

Until next time...
